Peter Eidenberg Gives Presentation on Defending Sexual Misconduct Allegations Against Medical Providers
Shareholder Peter Eidenberg has been invited to present to a local medical group of over 80 providers about the rise in litigation related to allegations of inappropriate touching by patients against medical practitioners. Peter has been asked to speak on this issue by numerous medical institutions and healthcare organizations over the last year, sharing directly from his own experience defending medical providers who have been accused of misconduct. Peter has developed considerable experience in this area of litigation, having co-tried several cases to verdict arising from these kinds of claims. He has also represented clients in lawsuits and advised clients in pre-litigation matters related to this issue. Additionally, Peter has represented providers before their licensing boards for allegations of misconduct. All of this experience has given Peter unique insight into the impact these cases can have on providers and institutions, the tricks and traps in navigating these kinds of claims, and some ways providers can try to mitigate their risk of being accused of misconduct.
