KJH Plays for a Good Cause!

A few of KJH’s team members “scrambled” their way to a fourth place finish at the annual Samaritan Scramble at Spring Hill Golf Club in Albany, Oregon on June 19th. Attorneys Scott O’Donnell, Peter Eidenberg and Dan Murphy, along with paralegal Kristin Francis, represented KJH at the annual fundraising event. Peter Eidenberg recently spoke to over 200 executive leaders from healthcare institutions throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Alaska on the topic of sexual harassment in the healthcare field. Kelly Huedepohl joins KJH’s Washington litigation team

KJH is pleased to announce that Kelly Huedepohl’s litigation and appellate practice is expanding into Washington. Ms. Huedepohl’s admission to practice in Washington’s state courts marks an exciting addition to our team of Washington-licensed litigators and appellate attorneys. Ms. Huedepohl is now admitted to practice in the state courts of Oregon and Washington, in the United States District Court for the District of Oregon, and in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Congratulations to Jamie Valentine on new baby boy!

At Keating Jones Hughes, we like to celebrate our personal accomplishments just as much as we like sharing our professional achievements. Peter Eidenberg and Robert Sinnott prevailed on a motion for summary judgment in the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon. The professional liability lawsuit involved claims against a law firm for violations of the Federal Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA) based on allegations that (1) it did not strictly comply with Oregon’s model debt calculation form and (2) it misstated the debt amounts by attempting to collect less than what plaintiff actually owed. Peter Eidenberg Gives Presentation on Defending Sexual Misconduct Allegations Against Medical Providers

Shareholder Peter Eidenberg has been invited to present to a local medical group of over 80 providers about the rise in litigation related to allegations of inappropriate touching by patients against medical practitioners. Peter has been asked to speak on this issue by numerous medical institutions and healthcare organizations over the last year, sharing directly from his own experience defending medical providers who have been accused of misconduct. Peter Tuenge appointed to OADC Board of Directors
