Peter Tuenge has been accepted into the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). Peter Eidenberg Obtains Defense Verdict In Multnomah County

After a five day trial, a Multnomah County Jury returned a defense verdict in favor of the physician and urgent care clinic represented by Peter Eidenberg. Plaintiff alleged a failure to timely and appropriately diagnose appendicitis, for which he sought $700,000 in damages. Peter argued vigorously for the defendants at trial, presenting evidence that the physician’s care was neither negligent nor did it cause the patient’s alleged injuries. The jury decided in favor of the defendants, concluding the physician was not negligent in her care or treatment of the patient.

Peter Tuenge And Jennifer Truzzolino Obtain Defense Verdict In Clackamas County

On Friday, January 31, a Clackamas County Circuit Court jury returned a defense verdict in a four day trial. Peter Tuenge and Jennifer Truzzolino represented a dentist in the lawsuit, where plaintiff sought damages for breach of contract and breach of warranty.

Noneconomic Damages Limit Case Pending Before Oregon Supreme Court

Keating Jones Hughes appellate attorney Hillary Taylor filed an amicus brief in the Oregon Supreme Court in Busch v McInnis Waste Systems. The issue before the court is whether Oregon’s $500,000 limit on noneconomic damages in certain civil cases is constitutional under Article I, section 10, to the state constitution which provides, among other guarantees, that a person shall have a right to a remedy. The limit on noneconomic damages was enacted in 1987 and has not been altered, although the legislature has considered it often, including in the 2019…
