Bonnie was born and raised in Portland and graduated from Wilson High School. Prior to law school, she taught English for two years in a small village in Japan as part of the JET program. After law school, she lived in Anchorage, Alaska and worked as a judicial clerk and then as an associate in a boutique family law firm. In 2018, she returned to Portland and clerked for the Honorable Katharine von Ter Stegge and for the presiding judge of Multnomah County, the Honorable Stephen Bushong. In her free time, Bonnie loves to hike, explore the Pacific Northwest, and read both fiction and nonfiction.
