Peter Tuenge And Dan Murphy Obtain Defense Verdict In Clackamas County Following 17 Month Shutdown Due To COVID-19
Following a 17 month shutdown due to COVID-19, civil jury trials officially returned to Clackamas County when jurors awarded a unanimous defense verdict for shareholder Peter Tuenge, and associate attorney Dan Murphy, and their client, a local dentist, on September 2. The plaintiff sought significant damages claiming that the defendant had mismanaged his dental infection, which caused him to be hospitalized and undergo surgery. The defense team put on a case in chief built on the sound testimony of experts and a multimedia presentation designed to “show” jurors the critical facts at issue. It took less than 60 minutes for the jury to return a unanimous defense verdict.
