Kelly F. Huedepohl

Kelly defends healthcare providers and facilities, non-profit entities, lawyers, and law firms against a wide variety of civil claims. Like the rest of the KJH team, Kelly frequently defends medical malpractice claims. Kelly also defends clients against legal claims ranging from consumer protection to contracts to premises liability. Kelly practices at both the trial and appellate levels in Oregon’s state and federal courts.

Kelly is from Iowa, but has made Portland her home since 2005. She graduated from Willamette University College of Law, where she served as Executive Editor for the Willamette Law Review and received numerous awards and distinctions for her trial and appellate advocacy skills, culminating in the receipt of the prestigious International Academy of Trial Lawyers Student Advocacy Award from the College of Law faculty. While in school, Kelly clerked for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon and for the Oregon Department of Justice. Prior to enrolling in law school Kelly worked as a staff and operations manager for small businesses and in the financial services sector administering ERISA-qualified plan benefits.

Kelly coached Willamette University’s 2015–2016 National Appellate Team and serves as a volunteer judge and advisor for law school moot court teams. Kelly is an avid gardener and a board-game enthusiast.
